Chitwan is popular for Jungle activities, Pilgrimages tours, Water activities and Cultural variations. Traveling to Chitwan is also easy because of its geographical structure and have plenty of green forest, high current rivers. Chitwan National Park is popular for Jungle activities like: Jungle Safari, Elephant Ride, Jeep Drive and Safari, Bird Watching, it is also home of One Horned Rhino
Jeep Safari
As Jeep Safari are operated with regularly inside the jungle of Sauraha the wildlife are used to the right of jeeps carrying tourists, and generally do not run away when the jeep gets near. The safari operators also stop the vehicle of any wild animal is encountered or seen from a distance. Thus the jeep safari is an excellent way to observe the wild animals and travel through the jungles in Sauraha.
Night Tower Stay
Tower Night stay at Chitwan National Park
Spending a couple of nights in the jungle and exploring their behavior is another adventure for those having guts. You can get to spend nights in the center of Chitwan’s jungle and experience sunrise and sunset inside the forest. There is a tower where we camp for accommodating ourselves for the night with a basic toilet because animals can be quite aggressive with the presence of humans roaming in the jungle at night.
EBC Visit
On your visit to the hattisar (Elephant Breeding Center) you will demonstrate how elephants meals are prepared and how they eat, and you will get various information on the nature and habits of elephants. The unique center was established in 1985 for the captive breeding of domesticated elephant trapping for domestication.Located in Sauraha the Elephant breeding center was set up to protect the endangered elephants in the region. There are often many baby elephants there and a small museum.st.
Canoeing
A journey down the Rapti river in a traditional ‘dug out canoe offers you the chance to quietly observe the exotic species of birds and animal that come for sip at the waters edge.In Canoeing ride on the Rapt River you see the popular Marsha Mugger and Ghariyal Crocodiles in theirs’ natural habitation. You can see close proximity to them from your canoe boat and the nature guide you on their proper way. During the Canoeing you can see the rare species of birds, reptiles and more on wetland.
Bird Watching
Chitwan National Park area is one of the best places in the world to observe and study various rare bird species. Apart from resident species, may migrating birds arrive at Sauraha in the winter from as far as Siberia as well as other places thousands of miles away.It is better to use guide for bird watching as the chance to view different species of birds increases if one takes the aid of experienced guides. Separate zones have been identified in the National park for bird watching.
Elephant Bath
Elephant bathing is also an exciting entertainment activity available to the tourist in Sauraha. The tourist can play with the elephants and dive in the river from the back of elephant while it is bathing. The sight of elephant bathing playing with humans is equally entertaining. It is even enjoyable to only view the elephant baths. There is a virtual competition between the tourists to take photographs of the bathing elephant. The elephants at times throw off the riders into water as per the instruction is exciting to the limit.
Jungle Walk
Jungle walk is one the adventurous and entertaining activity of Chitwan National Park. One can walk through dense forest around the natural habitat of the wild animals during the jungle walk. Walk out and stretch your leg into the forest accompanied by a professional as they share their extensive knowledge with your on your way to prime spots in quest of rear and endemic species. Be on the look out for the great one-horned rhinoceros, wild boar, sloth bear, bison, , gharial crocodile and Royal Bengal Tiger
Tharu Dance
Spectators get full entertainment by the Tharu dances. Dances like Danda Nach (Stick Dance) and Ago Nach (Fire Dance) Mayur Nach (Peacock Dance) are some the popular highlights of the culture show. The program start at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm every evening or on Demand and lasts for 45 minutes. The cultural program has helped spread awareness about the Tharu culture through out the world. Save the magnificent culture dance of the Tharu communities watching by the bone fire in the evening in any hotels of Sauraha.

CBC Visit
Crocodile Hatching Farm is located at Kasara, of Chitwan National Park for the Conservation of endangered Gangetic crocodiles known as Gharials or Mugars, eggs are hatched, brought up, and released into rivers. Visitors have to pay Chitwan National Park entry fee and entrance fee of Crocodile Hatching Farm. There is no regular transportation to Crocodile Hatching Farm, so you have to take a private care/jeep or ask your hotel to manage for it.
Elephant Safari
The national park area of Sauraha is most suitable for elephant ride. Elephant ride is also the safest way to enter the jungle while one can observe wild animals and birds from up close. One can enter the dense forest of Sauraha and view the wildlife from close proximity during the elephant ride. It feels very exciting and novel to move along through the quiet forest listening to the sound of wild birds singing from on top of the elephant back.
